dreams (two places)
familiar local -
today's activity
a place not seen
    (awake)
returns of memory
she is there
in a bed behind
lavender curtains
i look to the window
to a street i cannot place
-surrounded by-
friends i've not seend
    in years
who may as well be
dead. for they will
be others
as will i.

"routine"

back into routine - but unable
to wake before i need

could be awake all night
but - no reason

nothing to accomplish
with sporadic attempt

four books - empty pages
save for the first few leaves

unless - but i do nothing
unless - but i wallow
unless - but i close my eyes

nothing - and i'm back
where i started
